…complex lines in simple architecture.
Gotta love those cold days when the storm has passed, the snow is down and the sun breaks through. Finding those trees that look like sculptures is one of the great things about exploring on those days. You turn a corner and there they are………..if you’re looking……..
The snow has been pretty light in downstate Illinois this year………..but there’s a winter scene here and there if you look………
The dreary days of winter sometimes break just a bit and send down a little sunshine………..
A late fall day found this guy grazing on what was left of the green grass. There’s just something about the primitiveness of prairie life, whether it be livestock, or the ruggedness of the items used in daily chores that intrigues me. There always seems to be an engaging subject around every corner.
Matthiessen State Park is an AWESOME place to go on photo safari…….. I try to get up there at least once a year (in the fall) if not more. It’s only 1 hour north of Bloomington (3 hours from home) so it’s a great overnite trip. Take a look at the ‘Midwest Life’ section of [...]

A blue moon is when there are more than 1 full moons in the month…..happens every 3 or 4 years……December 2009 was one of those…….
